Bill Duncan doesn't walk on water, but he comes close. It's phenomenal what he can do; he's more artist than landscaper. He has the ability to envision something that's not standard and then create it. We have a city property that backs to parkland, but a third of it was just ivy on a hillside. You didn't go down there for fear of your life, because you didn't know what was buried in that ivy. All we ever told Bill was to get rid of the ivy, save the azaleas and do something about the weakened retaining wall.
The whole neighborhood comes over to see our yard now. Bill transformed it with a fantastic curved boulder wall and a water feature in harmony with our somewhat rustic setting yet also really creative - unique, in fact. He needed a tall element to create balance, so he installed three stone slabs reminiscent of Stonehenge. It's just amazing! Bill also installed a stone slab bench that doubles as a retaining wall. He even cleaned up the parkland behind us by removing the debris, which gave us a marvelous vista across the garden.
Our garden is not very big, but it's added a whole new usable area to our property. It's even beautiful in the winter.
